¿Qué te motivó a escribir The Hatch?

 La naturaleza es un mundo que nunca deja de sorprenderme, y el proceso del pájaro dentro de su cascarón desde hace tiempo que me daba vueltas. Con la idea de fomentar y desarrollar la empatía en los niños, con The Hatch intenté poner al lector en el lugar del pájaro que se está gestando dentro del huevo, y transmitirle las sensaciones que debe sentir a lo largo del proceso. La figura del cóndor tampoco es casualidad.
