Cuando el elefante camina asusta al oso sin querer. Entonces el oso sale corriendo y espanta al cocodrilo que, lleno de miedo, se lanza al agua para ponerse a salvo. Sin proponérselo, el cocodrilo asusta al jabalí, que se disponía a nadar en el río, pero al ver al reptil huye despavorido; y la cadena continúa... todos los animales espantados en medio de la confusión. La pregunta es, entonces ¿quién puede asustar al enorme elefante?

El lobo de este cuento tiene un feroz apetito y un día siente ganas de preparar un delicioso estofado de pollo. Andando por el bosque, el lobo encuentra a una gallina, pero se le ocurre que estaría bien engordarla un poco antes de cocinarla para que el estofado sea aún mejor. Pasado un tiempo de alimentarla, llega el día de cazar a la gallina y ésta, sin darse cuenta, le arruina por completo el plan... después de todo, este lobo quizá no sea tan feroz.

Un sapo y su nieto se internan en el bosque, donde habitan animales hambrientos. Esta experiencia le permitirá al abuelo demostrar cómo enfrentar los peligros. Aunque no todas las situaciones son fáciles de vencer, el valor y la astucia los harán invencibles.

La estructura sencilla y páginas de gran tamaño harán de esta lectura una experiencia emocionante y muy apropiada para compartir. Ante las adversidades la mejor opción es contar con un buen amigo.

El león, el elefante y el oso encuentran una hermosa corona de oro con una inscripción que dice: "Para el más poderoso". Cada uno pretende ser el dueño de la corona, pero en escena aparece un horrible gigante con la intención de arrebatarles el hallazgo. Sin embargo, contra todo pronóstico el más poderoso no es realmente el elefante, ni el oso, ni siquiera el gigante...
